Manner adverbs
When you use an adjective to describe a verb or any kind of action, the adjective becomes a manner adverb. Then you add /t/ to the stem.

e.g. Hun løper veldig raskt. (She runs fast.)
(Here, you do not describe her, but how she runs).
Det er dyrt å bo i Norge. (It is expensive to live in Norway.)
(Here, you describe how it is to live in Norway - not the country itself.)
Langt and lenge
Langt is used for distance, while lenge is used for time.

e.g.
Hvor langt er det fra Oslo til Roma?
Hvordan klarer du å løpe så langt?

Hvor lenge skal du være i Norge?
Jeg vil ikke vente så lenge.
(How far is it from Oslo to Rome?)
(How do you manage to run so far?)

(How long are you going to stay in Norway?)
(I don't want to wait that long.)
